Iran's new national library was officially opened 1:st March 2005. It is one of the largest libraries in the
world. The library is to have an approximate built-up area of 97,000 square meter, and using fixed shelving
it can accommodate about 4 million books. Compact shelving or automatic material handling systems will raise

TISAAC is planning a lecture with Namdar Nasser. Mr Nasser is born and raised in Tehran but is living in
Sweden since 1985. Today he works as education consultant. Mr Nasser writes poetry and prose in both swedish
and farsi (persian). He has also worked with translation. The board of directors wants to denote that this
lecture is open for everyone, not only TISAAC members or applicants. However, the board wants confirmation
emails sent to info@tisaac.org.
